When: 2008-09-29
Collection location: Forest near Elgin Street, Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]
Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)
No herbarium specimen

Species Lists:
Fall Mushrooms of Eastern Ontario (54)
Mushrooms of Eastern Ontario (51)

Notes: Another small cluster of Cortinarius alboviolaceus growing near the base of a tree in the damp, mixed woods area full of them (and high in all kinds of other fungi, including all the observations by me from 11747 up to this one, that I’ve come to call the “Miracle Mile”.

An earlier observation of mine, 11402, has my best close-up photos so far of this species, from a similar cluster at the other end of the “Miracle Mile”.
