List of species in Lentinula (3)
When: 2008-10-25
Collection location: Southeastern Portland, Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Purchased 2 space bags colonized with Lentinula edodes at the Oregon Mycological Society’s Fall Mushroom Show on Oct. 11. With the cooler weather in the last week, the bags have formed buttons, and are now starting to fruit. Only 2 harvested today, and they were quite young, but the veil had broken completely from the rim, so am drying them at this time. Have a lot more coming on. Always nice to have fresh shiitake with my omelet!
