Notes: A nice little, really little Lepiota here. Found in a redwood grove. The clean stipe, and scaling of the cap points to L. cristata, but it is too small, and the scaling isn’t a thick as I usually see in cristata. Arora states that there a number of small Lepiotas which are similar to cristata, but microscopically different, and I think this is one of them. I was going to dry it, and pass it on to Else Vellinga here, but it was so small, and very thin and fragile, that it had completely fallen apart to nothing by the time I got it home. So, sorry about that. But a nice little mushroom nonetheless.
