Notas: I don’t know why but it is impossible for me to add the variety GYROPORUS CYANESCENS VAR.VIOLACEOTINCTUS Watling for this is the taxon that represents my find from Cataloochee Area. It differs from the type variety CYANESCENS VAR. CYANESCENS in the color change when flesh is cut (deep violet lilac, then deep blue).
Found it with Quercus spp., Acer spp., Fagus grandiflora and Betula lutea.
