yup, I can now see those subtly split gills. and i guess what with all of the sexual diversity found in Schizophyllum commune (doesn’t Volk claim 24,000 mating types for this beast?) not unreasonable to expect a bit of structural diversity, too.
Definitely S. commune. A very cool photo of the gills, though the distinctly jagged margin is not particularly common. Great shot!
