List of species in Leucoagaricus Locq. ex Singer (35)
When: 2009-09-23
Collection location: Big Thicket, Polk Co., Texas, USA [Click for map]
Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: These were growing on an old stump/debris and look similar to descriptions and pictures of L. americiana. They did have the enlarged stipe base and there was some subtle reddening of the stipe and annulus. The whitish spores were very dextrinoid and the right shape but a little smaller by my measurements. The cap scales were not as prominent or as darkly colored compared to some of the photos on the web.
