Violet spore print, about to break out the microscope.
Initially I thought it to be in the Ink Cap family (coprinus) family. Yet, after placing the cap of one of the older specimens under a air-tight jar, placed atop a microscope slide. In order to create a print, I expected a pile of goo by morning, must like others like Coprinellus sp.
Some have claimed its an ink cap still, im not convinced.
Will post microscopy of spores from print I received moments, along with photos of print. (I believe dark violet)
