Under Oak. No bruising. EDIT next day cap flesh has very faint bluing where cut. Ammonia blue green on cap. KOH orange red on cap after 10 minutes. See photo.

…is consistent with what I observed for 244111. I didn’t run a KOH test and I didn’t observe any bluing of the cut flesh in mine. Still, I am positive our collections are the same mushroom. Thanks for posting, Jon!

…your collection is likely to be the same species I found in NJ, obs 244111. Sequencing confirmed it’s not X. subtomentosus.
