Observation: Armillaria sp. (33346)

Collection location: Mountain Lake Conservancy, Giles County, Virginia [Search]
Who: Mark Prosser (mark prosser)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Taken atop Mountain Lake Conservancy in Giles County at about 4000 ft. altitude, found at the base of a decaying tree. No other photos are available. Weather conditions had been close to freezing over the previous evenings. Cap and substantial stem stood at about 3-4 inches tall. This specimen stood alone and was not part of a group.
