Notes: Found fruiting singly in compacted soil on a road side. No trees nearby. Grassy with some gravel areas.

Summary: Pluteus petasatus?

It’s not clear if it’s white or pink spored, but to me it carries itself like a Pluteus. That would mean it has pink spores. If it has white spores, I’d look in Tricholoma, but it really looks like it has free gills.
