No herbarium specimen

Notes: white spherical, just a couple of millimeters in diameter, growing on top of old shiitake sawdust substrate that was buried around an old tree stump

spp: grayish

spores: isodiametric, 8.3 in diameter, spherical to hexagonal in profile view, with a sterigma on each spore

S. stellatus spores are oblong. The spores in this fungus are not.
