Observation: Conocybe albipes Hauskn. (4261)

When: 2007-08-02
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Perfectly smooth, conical, whitish, non-striate cap; perfectly smooth, fragile, white stem; brown spore print; ephemeral (withering by noon of same day); scattered in lawns. Downright abundant in early morning well-watered lawns nearly throughout the year in Pasadena. There are few mushrooms I feel more confident IDing. Full notes here.
