Notes: Thought this was an Agaricus...
Scattered in lawn on SW corner of Fillmore and Magnolia.
ST 50×8mm, white to brownish, shiny, smooth, even, little root under ground at bottom, solid, firm, stiff CAP 40mm wide, perfectly smooth, cracking shallowly radially, skin yellowish to honey buff, shiny FLESH to 5mm thick, firm, white, not staining, nutty flavor VEIL somewhat substantial collar-like ring near top (opening on both top and bottom but not movable) GILLS dirty pale brown, attached to sl notched, ~4mm deep SPORE print smoky brown, 7.7-9.3×5.0-6.1um, ovoid, smooth, brown, lots of “stuff” inside, thick walls
Keyed (badly) using Arora. I won’t claim to know which species it is within the A. praecox group.
