Notes: Also known as Alnicola scolecina, but I was told by Dr. Desjardin that this one is now part of Naucoria. (A genus I hate, just little brown jobs with nothing much to distinguish them other little brown jobs…)

Found under Alder, next to a stream, and pretty water logged. The mushroom is pretty messed up, and there is no way to tell what it is, but under the microscope it was id’ed from the spores.

The microscopic image was taken at 1000x under oil immersion. The divisions are 1 micron. The spores are elliptical and pointed, but I guess the detail that makes this Naucoria is that the spores are covered in a pattern of small warts.
