Notes: As of May 2006 I don’t believe this name has been formally published. I understand from Susie Dunham that she is working on a publication with David Arora to separate out this species based on genetic comparisons to the other Cantharellus species of Oregon and northern California. The proposed species is associated with coast live oak.

These particular specimens are the typical northern California coast live oak loving chanterelles.
