Species Lists:
Species in Los Trancos Preserve (14)
Notes: I found thousands of these up there, all over in the damp leaf litter, covering many, many square meters of duff.
They were intermixed with M. querophilus, so I was thinking these are young ones, and they turn more brown as they age. But no, Dr. Desjardin tells me they are Hemimycena sp., and probably an undescribed species, since no one has worked on Hemimycena in CA.
Also these were on any kind of leaf, and I show a CA Bay leaf here, where I hadn’t seen M. querophilus on bay leaves before.
