No herbarium specimen

Species Lists:
Species around Redwood National Park (38)

Notes: I had collected a number of these over the course of the day, but somehow at the end this is all I was left with. So, I toke a picture of this sad specimen just to prove I had found this ‘shroom. They were quite variable this day, with cap going from 1 to 5 cm in diameter, some with partial veils and some without.

Summary: Inocybe

Sure looks like an Inocybe! The umbo is out of character for an Agaricus and the gills do not appear to be pink.

Summary: Oh, yes

Yes, actually, although this is a kinda young one and not the best. I found a number of these through the day, and it was quite variable, some very small, and others medium size (none large). But for some reason through the day they kept disappearing, and this poor one was all I had left. So I grabbed a photo just to show I found them, although I wanted a photo of the different sizes to show the variability.

You do what you can…

Summary: Are you sure that's an Agaricus?

From the photos I would have guessed Inocybe. Did it have the almond odor?
