Summary: Some stuff to look for…

For these you need to look at the stem, and see if it smooth or not. Then look at the cap edge, and see if it fuzzy or not. Then with a knife cut the gills, and look for white latex to ooze, and wait. Later see if the latex has stained the gills or not. (And then if you are crazy, like Dimitar, you look for cystidia on the gills or not, but you don’t have to go there.) There are a few species that look like this.

Also, I believe these are the same photo, in two sizes? You don’t have to post both, the system will re-size and make the thumbnail for you.

Summary: Most likely Lactarius alnicola

It’s hard to be certain without seeing underneath the cap or a clearer view of the stem. It should have gills under the cap and when you break them they should exude a white milk-like liquid. Also the taste should be extremely peppery.
