Notes: small mushroom scattered under rotting mossy hardwood log ST: 20-40×2-4mm, curved, v slightly off-center, brown, pale yellowish at top, striate from innate fibers, tough, barely breaks when bent in half, solid, same color inside as outside CAP: 35mm, broadly convex, rich deep brown fading to yellowish brown at margin, brighter when young, smooth, slimy when wet, translucent striate in outer third, v thin margin hung with veil remnants, hygrophanous (fading tan), v low small umbo FLESH: watery brownish, to 1.5mm thick, flexible, doesn’t break when bent in half VEIL: partial, superior, v thin membranous, turns brown from spores GILL: dirty pale yellowish to pale tannish, scattered brown spores visible at 20x, v slightly decurrent SPORE: print plain old brown Matches the description in Demystified perfectly.
