Notes: small mushroom, in ones or twos, on ground in moist mixed forest ST: cap-colored, slimy, smooth to fibrillose, shiny striate, 30-50×4-5mm, solid, fragile, fibrous CAP: 15-20mm, whitish to v pale yellowish brown in center when old, v slimy, smooth, convex, slight umbo, margin curled under when young FLESH: 1mm thick, white VEIL: none (or just a layer of slime) GILL: decurrent, white, thick and waxy, somewhat distant SPORE: failed to get print before it dried up but it’s got to be white
Pretty clear ID using Demystified. If not precisely this species, it’s got to be close.
