Notes: shelf fungus on big old oak log, strong fungal odor, this one mostly resupinate
ST: none
CAP: white to creamy to gray near margin, lumpy, soft tomentose, not zoned, sticking out 30mm or more
FLESH: 1mm, white, tough, somewhat rigid
PORE: dirty gray to pale near margin, v fine (~8 per mm!), 1mm deep
SPORE: print whitish (but faint)

I don’t see the “thin dark line [that] separates the pores from the flesh” that is mentioned in Demystified.
