Observation: Suillus brevipes (Peck) Kuntze (55207)

Observation: Suillus brevipes (Peck) Kuntze (55207)

When: 2010-10-08
No herbarium specimen

Notes: There were a number of these fruiting mostly near lodgepole pines.
Spores were narrowly elliptical to oblong, measuring about 7.0-9.9 X 3.4-4.4 microns. That’s pretty close to what is reported in Thiers’ Californis Mushrooms.
