Notes: small mushroom on rotting mahogany, two widely separated, pleasant fragrance ST: 25×2mm, whitish, covered with red droplets except near top, v minutely puberulent, copious white stain from mycelium around base, solid, cartilaginous/fibrous CAP: 20-25mm wide, plane, umbonate, creamy to buff in center, minutely fibrillose, scattered fine mist of red-brown droplets (finer than stem), striate-cracked and thin near margin, not curled under VEIL: remnants hanging from margin GILL: whitish aging brownish, even, clean, free, 3mm deep SPORE: pinkish
Ah, I guess there are signs of a veil hanging from the margin, aren’t there? I didn’t look closely at my own picture! They were gone by time it reached home.

Summary: Def. Lepiota
I’ve seen photos from Dr. Vellinga of Lepiota from tropical areas, and a few of those bled golden droplets. I’ve also seen Lepiotas bleed golden droplets here in Cali, not sure I got a good photo of it though.

Wow, how cool. Maybe some Lepiotoid mushroom. Those droplets are likely taxonomically significant.
