Don’t forget G. infula. But that one usually darkens in the stipe, and is more reddish brown. But there is only one photo to go on here.

Isn’t there something about the stipe being hollow or filled to split the Helvella/Gyromitra genera? I forget now off the top of head, and don’t seem to come across these ascos that often.

Verpa cap will be only attached to the stipe at a point at the top, that is one thing, but Verpa tends to be more conical a cap. But certainly keep it is mind here.

Summary: Could be Helvella, but not crispa

The stipe looks too smooth for the lacunosa/cripsa/maculata group. Looks closer to H. compressa (which is a North American species). I’d have to look at some books to come up with anything that might be a reasonable species name. It would be helpful to have more pictures. Particularly helpful would a closeup of how the cap connects to the stalk and the undersurface of the cap. Based on the photo another possibility is Verpa conica.
