It looks like an older Suillus that has dried out.If you blow up the pic of the cap it has the spots.While I cant see much to indicate there was a veil it doesent always show on americanus.I found specimens that looked close to this last summer(late).But I dont have a pic that is clear.Those I found were dry but with a little water were very sticky to touch.Without more info I wouldnt really say that it is americanus for positive.But it looks like it to me.
