Notes: Old fruit body found on big leaf Maple. From what Christopher Hobbs has shared with me the purple member of this clade is found sometimes in the West Coast. Obviously this cannot be placed as Oregonense or Tsugae due to host tree. I have a few “G.oregonense” posts from last year that were also purple such as this and were fruiting from hardwoods near The Evergreen State college.
If any of you out there in the PNW have found these smaller skinny hardwood fruiters then I would love to share notes- let me know.
