Notes: We’ve encountered this small white hair fungi near Ganoderma spp. on fallen hardwood logs often this year. Really striking when abundant. This fruiting was underneath peeling bark from a fallen Alnus Rubra stump near a massive fruiting of Pleurotus ostreatus. The small whiskers are clear/white colored.

Temp: 50’s rainy (mixed sun breaks)

It’s very widespread, and common in my area. I actually found some today, but it was not in prime condition like yours so I didn’t photograph it.
