Summary: Spores confirm this is banningiana

Given the habit, cap colors, and spores (despite their being on the small-side as in the case of the collection from the same place and date of A. sp-S10) confirm the ID.

Summary: Volva

I was finding a lot of the Amanitae there had the base of the stalks
buried pretty deeply, and hard to dig out all the way. Mixed pine and
oak around there, so maybe the soil is just very loose.

Summary: Looks just like what

I call bannigiana here in PA. Except the ones that I find don’t have the volval sac buried.
