Debbie Drechsler (debdrex)
No herbarium specimen
Notes: This winter, during the rain, when I found specimens that I could bring home, I tossed them into my yard, after I was through with them, heartless beast that I am, hoping that I might get some mushrooms to flourish right here. I wasn’t expecting much, and certainly not until next fall, but this one seems to have popped up, and been much loved by slugs, in the past few days. It’s fruiting on old wood mulch under a valley oak. Pileus 8cm across, stipe 1.1cm, total height 7cm.
