Notes: This mixed conifer canopy is abundant with short stemmed Russula(R. brevipes) in fall season- conversely, it is abundant with this benefiting plant(M. uniflora) in summer. Note the mature(brown crispy) specimens from last season sticking straight up with new flowering clusters.
