Notes: Ok, another one of the first species of Galerina that I tried to id, and it is still giving me problems.

This is another example of Galerina heterocystis, except that there no longer is a G. heterocystis, or it turns out that G. heterocystis is confused, and all these are really Galerina clavata which was described eariler. This is from private conversations with Prof. Gro Gulden of the Univ. of Oslo about this, which is not a good source, but when I get a good source I’ll try to include it.

This is also a 4-spored basidia version, there is a similar 2-spored version called G. subclavata, and I’ll have to go through a few of the G. heterocystis and check again if they are G. clavata or G. subclavata.
