Summary: Monstrouosly large Sierran mycenas

Not only are they unusually big compared with most mycenas, but they also have extremely profuse and fuzzy mycelia at their stipe bases, a feature that is not shown in this photo. We were surprised by the paucity of material for this species during our Shasta wanderings; it is generally a fun and familiar fungal face at snowmelt.
