Notes: There were dozens of these scattered in a pine dominated section of this park. They were in various stages of maturity and the older specimens tend to lose the rusty powder and the fragile ring.

Summary: As per our email discussion this a.m.....

The pictures are very good and helpful in diagnosis of this mushroom, Ron.

The color of the universal veil on the cap and the way it fades, the pink underside to the partial veil, the general form of the mushroom, and the habitat with pine all suggest Amanita roseitincta (Murrill) Murrill.
