Notes: More finds outside my back door at work. Just a little stand of redwoods, and I keep finding more each week. Another new find today, haven’t seen before in the area. Caps are nice and clean white. There was a patch of 6 or so of these, and half of them were nibbled by either squirels or large snails.

They were easy to tell from californicus, which was growing on the other side of the patch of trees. These were flat white, not the light brown and scaly of californicus. Also these had no staining reactions of any kind, no yellow, no red. Also there was no real odor, unlike the californicus which is distinctly phenol when fresh. Oh, and also these were strongly inrolled caps. and the veil tissue was very thin.
