This was less than two miles from my home at 2500’. A few other common early fungi were found in the area such as Discina perlata, Plectania nannfeldtii, and a tiny Gyromitra montana. I was a little surprised to see such a nice fruiting of these with so few other things in the area. Temperatures here this spring have been quite cool so fungi are taking their time.
Tree associates were grand fir, hemlock, cedar. Could possibly have been some pine or Douglas fir nearby. I didn’t pay that much attention.
