Richard it is true that P. longistriatus has been traditionally included in sect. Celluloderma by some authors but molecular data have clearly placed this species in sect. Hispidoderma (with P. plautus, P. umbrosus, P. leoninus, etc…)

The problem is that the pileipellis structure is somewhat misleading since there are a few short clavate elements at the base of the long upright elements.

The photo of the pileipellis rules out P. plautus and P. longistriatus, both species have long and narrow upright elements not spheropedunculate as the ones seen here.

This is something in sect. Celluloderma but the specimen looks quite weathered so it is hard to make a guess to which group this might belong.
