Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2012-05-15
Collection location: Mount Barker, South Australia, Australia [Click for map]
Who: Kari (Kari)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: What a treat, to stumble across these Gymnopilus specimens on my property! I’ve never encountered red Gymnos like this, with such creamy lemon gills.

I’m wondering if they might be G. luteofolius, though it’s often tricky to ID this genus by sight.

They are currently growing on a fallen pine log.
