Notes: I’ve been looking in this area in the past, and haven’t found this one before, but I usually don’t get out until after Thanksgiving. But sure enough, get out a little earlier and there they are. Found a few up there this time, and these were the best, others getting old, so mid Nov. is getting late.

I was up there three weeks ago and found nothing, no fungus of any kind, but now they are getting old. So, there is a narrow window of finding these.

Ok, I know most call these calyptrata, but I thought I would put these down as lanei to keep the controversy of the species name going here.
