Comment: Your ID is correct, but the outside of the volva can turn gray in a number of species (I have been meaning to run this question by Rod Tulloss, since I have also found gemmata-like amanitas with this characteristic). It is the inner volval sac that is gray in constricta, not to mention the constriction depicted in your second photograph.
