Summary: I’m calling these A. albolutescens

Comment: I’m calling these A. albolutescens, for now. This is based on the fact that Dr. Desjardin mentioned to me prelim. results that suggest that A. silvicola and A. albolutescens could be the same species. But this was prelim. stuff, not published, and in the hopes of simplifying, I’ve gone with A. albolutescens.

But it the spirit of confusing things, Dimi mentioned to me that there is another, I believe, European species that he had a name for, that had the same staining and odor, size and shape. But the character of this one was the widening at the base, and the fact that it bent to the side. Which is a character that we see in a lot of these guys in the coastal hills up and down CA.

I guess we should keep that in mind, but I’m going with A. albolutescens for now…
