Summary: There are various ways

of referring to Saba since the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles on 10/10/10. Properly it should be “Dutch Caribbean”, at least that is what the latest is around here. It is also referred to as one of the BES Islands, for Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba. This excludes the other two or three former NA Islands. Calling it part of the Netherlands is politically correct, it is a municipality of Holland, however English is the common language and English descendents are the Sabians from antiquity. The Wiki write up is accurate as far as I can tell. Mycology is untouched here. The ecological zones run from a hot Caribbean desert at sea level to a cool, cloud enshrouded elfin forest at 2800 feet, all within about 5 sq. miles.
