Notes: Narrow alpine valley in ENE-WSW direction with river Soča. Extends from village Trenta to Bovec basin. A part of Triglav national park. Sparsely settled and with well preserved nature conditions and large biodiversity. Calcareous ground. Mostly forest in lower regions. Average precipitations about 3.000 mm/year, average temperatures from 7-9 deg C at the bottom and below 0 deg C on the mountain ridges south and north of the valley.
