Notes on Taxonomy:

Boletus pinophilus Pilát & Dermek is a valid European name. This name has been applied to various porcini that grow with pine in other parts of the world. For example, the porcini that comes up in spring in the Sierra Nevada which is now known as Boletus rex-veris.
