Notes and Comments:

The latest word (as of April 2008) base on Mycotaxon 103: 109-121 (2008): DNA analysis shows that what is commonly called Stropharia aurantiaca (or Hypholoma aurantiacum or Naematoloma aurantiaca) and Psilocybe ceres are the same and belong in the genus Leratiomyces. However, original Agaricus thraustus var. aurantiacus Cooke none of these and in this article is synonymized with Leratiomyces squamosus var. thraustus.
