The attribution to ‘Donk’ appears to be a common error. The majority of references both in books and on web use ‘Doty’.

First mentioned to me by Else Vellinga and confirmed by Index Fungorum. According to Mushroom Expert “DNA studies have upheld the idea put forth by Jülich (1981) that morphological differences are significant enough to place Clavicorona pyxidata and closely related mushrooms in a separate genus, Artomyces.” The type for Clavicorona is Clavicorona taxophila.
