Notes on Taxonomy: [Edit]

In addition to the already-named species in this genus, Stropharia riparia is, in fact, a species of Leratiomyces, though it is awaiting valid publication under this name.
Kuo argues that Stropharia riparia = Leratiomyces percevalii. See Kuo, M. (2009, February). Leratiomyces percevalii. Retrieved from the MushroomExpert.Com Web site: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/leratiomyces_percevalii.html
