Notes on Taxonomy:

I don’t know the details surrounding the synonymy with Volvariella gloiocephala but Index Fungorum lists V. gloiocephala as the preferred name, but MykoWeb lists V. speciosa as preferred. In any case everyone seems to agree that the two names reference the same taxon.
