Name: Cantharellus infundibuliformis (Scop.) Fr.
Notes on Taxonomy: From MushroomExpert.com: “Recent DNA studies have made identifying Craterellus tubaeformis a much easier task; it is apparently the only small chanterelle with a brown cap, well developed false gills, and a yellow stem. It is found in moss, primarily in the conifer bogs of northern and montane North America—and it is not uncommon to find it fruiting from very well decayed, moss-covered logs. West-Coast collectors call it the “Yellow Foot,” and there is some evidence that the western version of Craterellus tubaeformis may be a different species (or subspecies), since it is slightly different, genetically, from European and eastern North American versions. See The Cantharellus/Craterellus Clade for more information." First person to use this name on MO: Douglas Smith
