Summary: Bouteloua gracilis (blue grama grass)

These were found in open, sandy soil in the Pinon/Juniper grassland in northern New Mexico, up to 10 meters outside the drip line of any tree. I suspect the mycorrhizal association is with the predominant grass, Bouteloua gracilis (blue grama).
