Notes: This was found on the compost heap. There were alot of them. The gill color was pinkish brown, leading me to believe they were all family.

Summary: similar to an amanita in having a universal veil that leaves a saccate volva at the base….

…but different, as you noticed, in having pinkish spores and gills, and no partial veil covering the gills.
